Waka Funding FAQ Section

Is hedging allowed?

Yes, hedging is allowed. However, using multiple accounts to hedge entries against each other will be considered a rule violation, including hedging between clients. Hedging within one’s own account to protect a position is completely allowed. It is not allowed to hedge two different accounts/individuals by taking opposite positions in each to circumvent the rules.

Do you allow news trading?

Yes, news trading is currently allowed.

What is the leverage?

For all your Waka funding Challenge/Evaluation accounts, you will receive leverage of 1:100. Real accounts are set at 1:30 as this is what an institutional trader would have access to.

What are the commissions per transaction?

With Eightcap, there is a commission of $7 on currency pairs per lot. If partial lots are traded, the commission will be proportional. Indices, commodities, and other instruments do not incur commissions but only market spread.

What is the 33% Consistency Rule?

The 33% Consistency Rule ensures that no single transaction exceeds 33% of the requested profit during withdrawal. This rule is crucial for promoting sound risk management and avoiding excessive risk-taking, particularly before significant news events.

Implementation at the Funding Stage:
This rule is applied during the funding stage, using volume bands to manage risk consistently.
For example, if a trader’s average lot size over a month is 3 lots per trade, but they make a trade of 10 lots on the day before payday, this would breach the rule by exceeding 200% of their average volume. Similarly, a trade significantly smaller than the average, such as 75% less, would also be excluded.

The rule uses the following formula:
Average Lot Size: Total lots traded / Total transactions
Upper Limit: Average lot size x 2
Lower Limit: Average lot size x 0.25
Transactions are aggregated within a 30-second window to ensure consistency in volumes and profits.

Outcome:
Transactions outside the acceptable range are excluded, but the trader’s account remains active, with the compliant transactions processed normally.
This rule is designed to balance competitiveness with long-term sustainability and market presence.
While some traders may find this rule restrictive, it encourages better trading habits and adherence to planned strategies.
